Troye Sivan is not on Twitter, despite what you might have seen.
The 27-year-old singer spoke out on his Instagram after an apparent album on his dormant Twitter account surfaced on Tuesday (April 25).
The since-deleted tweet on his page featured a link to a website, which offered users the opportunity to link their crypto wallets.
“We’re releasing this album and teasers to $TROYE holders to hear first,” the since-deleted tweet read. “Visit the link below to claim your $TROYE and hear it before anyone else!”

Despite being tweeted from a verified account, Troye insisted on his Instagram account that it is a hack.
“I deleted my Twitter so whoever has the account now is not meeeee they are scammers,” he wrote. “We’re gonna get it deleted hopefully but Twitter is a hell scape,” he added.
“This is not the rise of crypto Troye.”
