Threave Rovers caretaker Paul McGinley hailed his side’s fighting spirit after they snatched victory against West Park United.
A topsy-turvy game saw the Castle Douglas side lead 2-0 and trail 3-2 before winning 4-3.
McGinley said: “The character, desire and heart we showed was absolutely brilliant.

McGinley said: “We weren’t firing on all cylinders and were second best for 60 or 70 minutes.
“We went 2-0 up but I thought we maybe started almost too well.
“Even at 2-0 I didn’t think we were anywhere near our full capabilities. You could see there was still a threat from them and gradually they started dictating to us.
“They got their two goals back just before half-time which gave them a big lift as they came out the start of the second half and put us on the back foot again.
“We played in fits and starts, although you could still see the bits of quality where we were capable of scoring goals.
“We were a yard off it all over – in possession and out of possession.
“The mindset was still there and when we went a goal behind it was as if a switch had been flicked and we knew we had to get something out of it.
“We know exactly where things went wrong. It’s a league where you can’t take your foot off the gas for
