Martin Lewis has addressed claims he is in the running to claim a top ITV job after 'showing off' over his fresh accolade. The Money Saving Expert founder is no stranger to presenting gigs having fronted Good Morning Britain and his own money show.
However, Martin has been among the names tipped to host This Morning amid the constantly changing presenting line-up following the exits of both Phillip Schofield in May and Holly Willoughby last month.
Phillip announced his decision to quit This Morning back in May this year after saying rumours of a fractured relationship with Holly behind the scenes had "become the story". However, the 61-year-old resigned from ITV altogether merely a week later after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger male colleague.

Meanwhile, Holly's decision to quit was shared on October 10 in a social media statement. The 42-year-old said it had been an 'honour to just be part of its story', but said it was a call she had to make for herself and her family. In the Instagram post, she wrote: "I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning."
But Martin has now poured cold water on any chance of him fronting the ITV daytime show on a permanent basis. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday morning (November 14), the 51-year-old said: "A few stories have appeared that I am bookies favourite to take over as presenter of This Morning. Hilarious!

Fans have hailed This Morning for picking the 'cream of the crop' to be their next hosting duo. The ITV daytime show has been going through a number of changes since earlier in the year when Phillip Schofield suddenly quit before Holly Willoughby also left her role last month.
Kate Garraway has given an update on her husband Derek Draper as she opened up about how it took "a long time to admit that as a family we were grieving". The Good Morning Britain star has been open and honest about the highs and lows of her and her family's life ever since the coronavirus pandemic.
Alison Hammond has hinted at moving on from presenting This Morning, as she admitted that she wants her own show. She has been presenting the show on and off since 2002, but her role has become more regular over the last couple of years, first presenting Fridays with Dermot O'Leary, and then taking on more since the departure of original permanent hosts, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. But former Big Brother star Alison has recently admitted that she won't be on This Morning forever, as she has big dreams of landing a presenting gig on her very own show.
