This Morning star Michelle Elman bravely spoke about her cheating ordeal on the This Morning sofa with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on Wednesday 1 May. Michelle, who is a body and confidence coach, revealed in April that she discovered her fiancé had been cheating on her, less than 24 hours after he proposed. Taking to social media, Michelle informed her fans on what had happened and said: “All this f*****g sucks, I was engaged for 24 hours".
For the first time since her painful split, Michelle took to the This Morning sofa as a guest as Cat and Ben chatted about her relationship breakdown, with Ben praising Michelle for her ‘resilience’. As they spoke to Michelle, she explained that she found out about her ex-fiancé’s cheating from a woman who reached out to her. She also discovered he slept with another woman in a hotel.
She said: “I got a DM from a woman who followed me, she'd read all my books. And had taken so much around it and say 'hey, is your fiancé this person?' with his name, and that's how it started. I spoke to her on the phone for an hour and found it all out." She added: "They hadn't been in a relationship, it was one night, he was on a dating app, and he was on a business trip." The next bombshell to follow was that Michelle’s former fiancé had asked her father for her hand in marriage before proposing.
Michelle explained: “If you have been cheated on and tell your friends and family, how do you have a life together? You can't. "The nail in the coffin was 4am the next day I told my dad. Also because he asked my dad for his blessing in December, and you can't come back from that." Michelle said that her ex wants her back after his betrayal and she told him about her appearance on This Morning today.
