Parts of the UK will see wintry weather continue, as up to 4mm of snow is expected during a cold spell in the country, according to forecasters.
The Met Office has confirmed that temperatures across Britain are likely to remain below average for the time of year for some time now, reports the Mirror. Meteorologists believe that snow will fall in the country on around Tuesday, January 16.
Weather maps from Ventusky have shown that snow will fall across the northern part of Scotland on January 16, spreading down to reach the western areas, including Glasgow, by Wednesday, January 17.
Steven Keates, a Met Office Deputy Chief Forecaster, said: "The colder conditions across the UK are likely to be established for some time and will be a key theme of next week’s weather. Storm Henk claimed at least one victim after battering the UK with winds, rain and other adverse weather, causing flooding and knocking down trees - one of which killed a woman. A woman was crushed by a falling

EXCLUSIVE. When the alternative book of film trivia is written, a page will be dedicated to the influence of Leonard Nimoy’s paranormal-themed late-’70s TV show In Search of… on director siblings. It was here that Albert and Allen Hughes first heard about Britain’s most notorious serial killer, Jack the Ripper, beginning an obsession with Victorian London that resulted in their 2001 horror-drama From Hell. And for David and Nathan Zellner, the cultural impact was very similar. “We loved that show,” recalls David. “As kids, there wasn’t much out there, that we were exposed to, that covered those sorts of things. They’d cover the Loch Ness monster, everything. I remember one about plants, wondering if they were able to think and what kind of music they’d like to listen to. They got really obscure with some of the subjects, but we loved that show. We loved the vibe of it. And that’s where we first learned about Bigfoot…”

Jeffrey Wright, star of Cord Jefferson’s provocative debut feature American Fiction, says he felt a personal affinity with his character Thelonious ‘Monk’ Ellison in the film, in part because of the challenges Monk experiences with regard to family issues. Monk is an author and a professor of English literature who discovers he may have to lower his standards to attain some kind of glory in the phony world of publishing.
