Areas all across the UK have been warned to expect snow from tomorrow (January 16). The Met Office has issued yellow warnings for snow and ice for large parts of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
It comes after the weather agency said northerly airflow will bringing 'very cold' conditions to the country. The latest alert for Tuesday covers some major northern parts of England and Scotland, including Greater Manchester. Snow is expected to cause a number of disruptions to travel, including public transport.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Andy Page, said: “Where and how much snow we will get will vary throughout the week and weather warnings could change quickly, you will need to keep an eye on the forecast for your region for the latest information. There will be widespread frost this week and we could see some fairly deep laying snow in parts of northern UK and strong winds could result in drifting or blizzard conditions at times.

"The snow and ice will be disruptive and could potentially impact travel plans, make driving dangerous and pavements slippery. It will feel bitterly cold with daytime temperatures in the low single figures for many, and overnight temperatures will fall to -3 or -4 in many towns and cities, and it will be even colder in many rural areas.”
Snow will begin entering parts of northern and west in the early hours of Tuesday. At 3am, Snow will hit northern Scotland, affecting areas such as Craig, Durness, Ullapool, and Lairg.
By 4am, areas close to the coast in England will also begin experiencing snowfall, including Kendal. Meanwhile, Caernarfon will be the first part of Wales to get hit in the
