Paving experts have shared a secret moss killer hack that costs just 55p and "works like magic" in your garden.
While moss can be an unsightly mess, many people may think it is completely harmless to us, reports the Express. However, it can actually be a slip hazard, and those who drive their cars into driveways could suffer from less grip.
So, how can you remove moss from your driveways and gardens? Daniel Scholfield, director of The Expert Gate Company has shared an “easy-to-follow” method.
Read on below to find out how to destroy moss from your garden.
Begin by diluting the bleach. Any brand of bleach will do to kill the moss off, but before it can be used it needs to be diluted with water first.
You can grab a bottle of the stuff from Tesco for just 55p. Diluting the bleach will "prevent any discolouration" on your slabs, and will allow them to keep their colour.
A ratio of five tablespoons of bleach to a gallon of water is most practical for cleaning using bleach. Mix the solution in the bucket and then fill the spray bottle for easy distribution of the bleach across the driveway.
Next, spray the areas of your driveway that have been affected by moss. Make sure to evenly distribute the "moss killer solution", so it is "most effective".
Leave this solution to soak for around 15 minutes, giving the "moss killer time to work its magic". Try not to leave the solution for too long though, as this may result in your driveway becoming stained.
Then, using warm water, remove all of the bleach from the treated areas. Daniel warned: "If you miss any spots, this could negatively affect your driveway by causing discolouration, so take care with this step."
Allow the solution to work for a few hours, as the moss will turn yellow once it
