A takeaway addict who ballooned to more than 22 stone after gorging on unlimited food and drinks during an all-inclusive holiday earlier this year has shared his weight loss secrets. Charlie Murphy has made a dramatic change to his lifestyle - and his waistline - in just a few months.
The 28-year-old piled on the pounds after the trip to Turkey, where he "smashed" the pre-paid grub and booze, reports Manchester Evening News. But the overindulging didn't stop there, and the Man United supporter would scoff several fast food meals every week, regularly ordering Domino's pizzas and Chinese food.
Charlie, who boasts 215k followers on TikTok, was left feeling sluggish and reached his heaviest weight ever. When he then began struggling to breathe, he knew he needed to make a drastic change.
On May 29, he got in touch with an online transformation coach and started his journey to shifting the weight. The footie fan was given calorie limits and targets for protein intake, as well as being pushed to hit a daily step goal.
Charlie, from Ripon, Yorkshire, also started exercising three days a week, initially at home but after building his confidence for seven weeks, he took his workouts to the local gym. The big change in his diet and exercise has paid dividends so far, and he has dropped three-and-half-stone, to 18stone 9lbs.
But Charlie, a carer, knows he still has work to do and is continuing to push himself to lose even more weight. He told the MEN: "I’m still 55lbs away from my goal, but I’m sure I’ll get there as my lifestyle has really changed. I’m feeling much more confident, but I’m also determined to get to the goal I’ve set. I’m only 50 per cent there.”
