Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has shared a message with her fans and followers after making an emotional TV appearance. The dancer appeared on This Morning on Tuesday (March 5) where she opened up about how she has struggled with an eating disorder throughout her life.
Dianne told show hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle how worrying about food and calories had consumed her life. She said: "You wake up in the morning, and the first thing you think of is, what am I going to eat? How many calories are going to be in that? How much do I need to exercise to burn off those calories?"
During the revealing chat, photos were shown of Dianne when she was drastically underweight due to her eating disorder. The 34-year-old shared how being a dancer from a young age made things much harder for her as she felt pressure to be perfect and maintain a low weight.

"Obviously growing up in the dance world, you're taught to look a certain way and you see all these other beautiful girls dancing, and you kind of want to look like that and want to be winning like they are," Dianne shared. "And they look a certain way so I feel like I should look that way. So I think it was it was something from a really young age."
When asked how she is currently managing her condition, Dianne admitted: "I just kept telling myself you can do it. The breaking point was when my body physically couldn't do it anymore and that's when I knew I had to go and get help and talk to people."
