Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has shared a determined vow with her fans and followers as she shared a candid post from the hospital as she starts cancer treatment.
The Welsh dancer announced last month that she had undergone a mastectomy and reconstruction after being told that she had stage three breast cancer when she discovered a lump in her right breast before going on her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones.
Amy, 32, later underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction of her right breast before finding out the next steps of her treatment. And the talented star, who has appeared in the BBC One dance contest since 2017, has since confirmed doctors found another type of cancer which she described as a “massive blow” as it meant she wouldn’t be able to compete in the hit show this year.

It means that Amy has now started chemotherapy treatment and earlier this week she said she was "ready" for the next part of her journey after enjoying a special day surprising her Strictly co-stars as they started rehearsals for the upcoming series before she then enjoyed another reunion as she headed over to see her former dance partner Tom Fletcher and his wife Giovanna.
