BBC2 comedy Two Doors Down is set to join BBC1 in a major shakeup from the broadcaster after first arriving on our screens 10 years ago. The Scottish-based show, which was created by Simon Carlyle and Gregor Sharp, first began in 2016 after a successful pilot three years earlier in 2013.
After running on BBC2 for six seasons, with mixed reviews from critics, the show is moving to BBC1 with production starting this summer to air later this year. As series creator Simon said: "Two Doors Down is about crazy neighbours.
We've all got them.They seem ok, but when you scratch the surface they're a bit nuts." The show's main character is Cathy, played by Doon Mackichan, who has previously appeared in shows such as Doctor Who and Katherine Ryan’s The Duchess.The show also stars Arabella Weir as Beth, Alex Norton as Eric, Jonathan Watson as Colin Whyte, Jamie Quinn as Ian and Harki Bhambra as Jaz.
