Rylan Clark makes 'five-year' announcement as fans say 'so proud of you'

Rylan Clark has been flooded with messages after he shared a 'five-year' announcement with fans. The TV and radio presenter has been absent from our screens after kicking off the year co-hosting This Morning.
But Rylan's latest social media post was dedicated to his radio job. On Friday (January 19), the 35-year-old was marking five years since he landed his own BBC Radio 2 show. Rylan on Saturday has been broadcasting on the station since January 2019 after he took over from Zoe Ball.
He had covered for Zoe, who he also replaced on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two, the year before and then took over her show when she moved to the station's breakfast show.

Taking to Instagram Rylan shared a photo from when he started and said: "Here’s a pic from 5 years ago today when I started my first ever @bbcradio2 show. Cheers for the last 5 years." He also shared the same snap to X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote: "5 years ago today this young dumb and full of fun one started his first ever show on @BBCRadio2. Cheers for the last 5 years."
Loose Women star Ruth Langsford, who Rylan calls his 'TV mum', was among those to respond, writing in the comments section: "And you’re still as handsome as ever son! Here’s to many more years of you entertaining us on the radio." Carol Vorderman shared a string of red hearts and typed: "so handsome.," while Claudia Winkleman also posted a string of love hearts.
