The Christian-based Trinity Broadcasting Network has been announced as a distribution partner for Dr. Phil McGraw‘s recently unveiled news and entertainment cable TV network Merit Street Media, putting the new brand in more than 65 million homes on DirecTV and Dish, among cable and satellite systems.
Merit Street also is working on securing Free Advertiser Supported Television (FAST) platform distributors by its Feb. 26, 2024 launch, looking to reach viewers via live and on-demand television, FAST, SVOD/AVOD, podcasts, web, and social media channels.
Anchored by the nightly program, Dr. Phil Primetime, Merit Street will feature four hours of original primetime content, including a live prime news hour, as the launch hub for an integrated multi-platform media brand. Additional programming, to be announced, will include true crime, family friendly shows and familiar TV personalities, per MSM.
