Naman Ramachandran Amazon has struck a deal that will see premium Lionsgate and Starz programming made available to to MGM+ customers in the U.K. Lionsgate+ subscribers who joined via Prime Video Channels in the U.K.
will now get access to the MGM service beginning in April. In May, the MGM service will be rebranded to MGM+ in the U.K.
to align with the recent rebrand that occurred in Europe, Latin America and the U.S. MGM+ in the U.K.
will host several popular Starz series, including the complete “Outlander” franchise, “Power Book” seasons 1-4, “BMF,” “The Serpent Queen,” “P-Valley” and “Hightown.” The service will become the home to hit series, including library titles “The Great,” “Mad Men,” “Nashville” and “Weeds” and films “American Psycho,” “Reservoir Dogs” and the “Saw” franchise. The Amazon-owned MGM+ was previously known as Epix and rebranded to MGM+ across Latin America to align with the recent rebrands in Europe and the U.S.
MGM+ is now available in 31 countries and is one of the most subscribed Prime Video Channels globally.
