A series of legal changes are set to take place in April.
Some of the rules will affect things such as car tax, personal wages and benefits. There are also a number of new employment laws coming into force which could have a direct effect on some workers' conditions.
Parents face big changes around free childcare and Child Benefit, while some homeowners will be subject to a new council tax rule. New regulations on social housing will also come into force as part of Awaab's Law.
Here's a breakdown of some of the new laws coming in from April.
The government confirmed that the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage will shoot up by around 10 per cent in April. Meanwhile, workers aged 21 and 22 will be roped into the higher National Living Wage for the first time ever, taking the lowest full-time adult worker's wage to £22,308 a year.
The changes will mark the largest cash increase seen by the minimum wage and the first time it has gone up by more than £1, according to the independent Low Pay Commission (LPC) which advises the government on the rate.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt said when announcing the wage increase: "Next April, all full-time workers on the national living wage will get a pay rise of over £1,800 a year. That will end low pay in this country, delivering on our manifesto promise. The national living wage has helped halve the number of people on low pay since 2010, making sure work always pays."
