Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was back in the firing line on Wednesday night after his performance in the 3-3 Champions League draw against Galatasaray.
Onana was criticised for his role in all three of the host's goals in Turkey. The first came from Hakim Ziyech whose free-kick went through the wall and saw the Cameroonian wrong-footed. While this mistake was arguable, the blame for the second was fully at Onana's door. Again, Ziyech's free-kick tested the 'keeper but somehow United's first-choice shot-stopper spilled it into his own goal.
Galatsaray equalised with 20 minutes remaining when Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglou fired home but despite his strike being fierce, Onana may feel his positioning should have been better. After a chaotic game, here is how the pundits reacted to Onana's display.

While questions were asked of Onana and his positioning for the first goal, Scholes told TNT Sports that Bruno Fernandes should have read the game better just before Ziyech took the set piece. "That’s what they planned to do," he said.
"You would have thought that Bruno (Fernandes) would have been behind those two (on the edge of the wall) knowing that they are going to wait for them to move out the way. If you look, (Mauro) Icardi is really clever because he moves out of the way, but he’s also looking at the 'keeper and he’s right in his eye line, but that step to the left has killed him and the goal has gone in."
Following the match, Scholes added: "Well what can you say again it is a terrible mistake again. I am not sure what he is trying to do, it is weak.
