Manchester United are without a number of key players for Sunday’s ominous trip to Liverpool, including Bruno Fernandes.
The Reds skipper was criticised for his attitude in April’s 7-0 Anfield mauling, at one stage putting an arm towards an official, but misses the trip this time after picking up five yellow cards. United are also without Harry Maguire.
The club’s in-form defender has sustained a knock while Anthony Martial has been ruled out of the contest. However, Marcus Rashford is back after illness and seemed to be in good spirits ahead of the away day in Merseyside having never scored at Anfield.

Rashford was pictured in good spirits with his United teammates in training ahead of a crucial trip to Liverpool this weekend.
Erik ten Hag’s side travel to Anfield for a pivotal clash which may have long-term consequences, either positively or negatively, on the manager’s future. Supporters - and players - are still battle-scarred from the humiliating 7-0 drubbing suffered in March.
They are without captain Fernandes, who was also spotted in training, but can expect Rashford available for selection.
