Bruno Fernandes believes Manchester United gave too much space away, allowed Liverpool too much time on the ball and also made it too easy for them to counter-attack during a shock 7-0 defeat at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
United have made impressive progress over the last few months and the weekend's heavy defeat against Liverpool was not expected.
Erik ten Hag said the display was 'unprofessional and unacceptable' after the game and an inquest will now begin.

After winning the Carabao Cup, United still remain in contention to win the FA Cup and Europa League and a response is needed against Real Betis on Thursday, which is something Fernandes discussed after the heavy Liverpool defeat.
The midfielder gave his thoughts on what went wrong at Anfield and he admitted United made it too easy for their rivals.
"We're really frustrated, disappointed, sad because it's a really bad result," Fernandes said to Sky Sports. "We came here with a different mindset before the game but I think the first half was really good from ourselves, we had a lot of chances and controlled most of it.
"They didn't create that much but obviously the second half was not our level. We gave too much space away, too much time and counter [attacks] to them and we know how much they are a threat from that.
"It was not our level and we know how much better we can be, how much quality we have, so it's about going to the next game and getting the result back. I think the team tried to react but in a reactive way.
"When we went forward, we gave so much space to Liverpool, to try score goals and we lost balance. We lost control of our positions, gave too much space away and against this kind
