UEFA have explained why Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford 'nominally tops the rankings' in the Europa League scoring charts, despite the England ace being level at the summit.
The Reds star was once again on target as Erik ten Hag's side secured a convincing 4-1 victory over La Liga side Real Betis in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Thursday night. Rashford opened the scoring at Old Trafford in the sixth minute, before Antony, Bruno Fernandes and Wout Weghorst completed the victory.
Rashford has now scored five goals in seven Europa League appearances for United this season, while also registering an assist. The 25-year-old is level with Union Saint-Gilloise ace Victor Boniface in the scoring charts, but it is actually the Reds man who leads the rankings.

According to UEFA.com, Rashford - despite having managed the same amount of goal contributions as Boniface - sits at the very top thanks to his impressive minutes-per-goal ratio.
An explanation read: "Rashford added to his tally with the opener in United's 4-1 win against Betis, but Boniface went one better, hitting two in the Belgian side's 3-3 draw at Union Berlin.
"Rashford nominally tops the rankings: he and Boniface have both scored five and provided one assist, but the Englishman has played fewer minutes: 455 to Boniface's 518."
Rashford has registered a staggering 26 goals and nine assists in all competitions for Ten Hag's side this term. Only Manchester City star Erling Haaland (33) and Paris Saint-Germain ace Kylian Mbappe (30) have scored more goals than the United forward this campaign.
