A man with a brain tumour claims he was turned away from a Manchester bar after being told he was 'too drunk'. David Twentyman says he was actually displaying symptoms brought on by radiotherapy.
The 40-year-old from Old Trafford, was in Manchester city centre last Friday night (July 14) with four friends as they celebrated the birth of a friend's child. Having visited the Oast House, the group ventured to Slug and Lettuce in Spinningfields.
David, who has been undergoing treatment for a year, says he has a visible limp caused by the brain tumour on the left side of his head, which has an effect on the right side of his body.

At around 10pm, four of his friends 'walked straight in', before David claims he was stopped by a member of door staff and accused of being too drunk. David, who is currently on chemotherapy after undergoing a recent round of radiotherapy, said he cannot drink alcohol because of the medication he's on.
"I was lagging behind because of my leg," he said. "When I got to the door, they wouldn't let me in. The doorman said I was too drunk.
"One of my mates came out as I was explaining to the door staff that I don't drink, but he just wasn't having any of it. He just kept saying 'no, you're drunk'. He just wasn’t listening.
"I even lifted up my cap to show him my hair loss and he just wasn't having any of it. It's something I'm really self conscious about so it was very embarrassing. There were people walking past.
"My mate was getting more upset and the whole group just decided to leave. I stayed out for a bit after, but I was a little bit knocked back by the whole thing and decided to call it a night soon after.
