Man in hospital after 'stabbing' in Highlands as police make arrest

A man is in hospital after an alleged stabbing in the Highlands.
Emergency crews swooped on a property on Mackintosh Road in Inverness after receiving reports of a disturbance at 8.25am on Sunday, January 14. Paramedics attended and a 41-year-old man was found injured.
He was raced to Raigmore Hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. Officers investigating the incident have since arrested a 56-year-old man in connection.
Police say inquiries are ongoing. Images taken from the scene show multiple cop vehicles in attendance at the estate in Raigmore on Saturday morning.
Five police cars and an ambulance were pictured lined on the street as crews dealt with the ongoing incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.25am on Sunday, 14 January, 2024, we were called to a report of a disturbance at a property in Mackintosh Road, Inverness. Emergency services attended and a 41-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, for treatment.
"A 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
