Manchester City are reportedly set to try and target Bayern Munich superstar Alphonso Davies.
Speculation over the Canada international and his future at the Allianz Arena has been at fever pitch for several months and the 23-year-old is claimed to have Real Madrid lurking. However, reports from Spanish newspaper AS - as relayed by Sport Witness - indicate City are also in the race for his signature.
City welcomed Josko Gvardiol to the Etihad Stadium this summer and he has performed well at left-back, but the former RB Leipzig man is a centre-back by trade. Davies is regarded as one of the best in his position on the planet.

According to the article, Davies has yet to make a decision on his future and he will consider the options open to him as and when interest is firmed-up with offers. Davies has less than two years to run on his Bayern contract and there has yet to be any breakthrough when it comes to an extension.
The player has made 171 appearances for Bayern. He has also been capped 41 times by Canada.
Elsewhere, reports from Italian publication Tuttomercato state Juventus will only consider a loan swoop for Kalvin Phillips during the January transfer window. The 27-year-old midfielder faces an uncertain future at City and the ex-Leeds United man has already suggested he could soon have a decision to make.
Phillips has only made five starts for the treble-winners in all competitions since his £42million transfer to the club last summer. However, due to financial constrictions, Juventus are not ready to pay big money for him.
