Man City fan group wants more safe standing amid Blue Wall dream

A Manchester City fan group wants the club to consider more safe standing in the South Stand as work on the North Stand expansion continues.
City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has previously spoken about his wish for a Blue Wall and rail seating has successfully been introduced in the bottom tier of the South Stand. While more rail seats are being considered as part of the North Stand expansion, supporters are not convinced by plans that are set to include significant sections for hospitality in the new seats.
With the South Stand currently the noisiest section of the ground, helped by the rail seats at the bottom to the left of the goal, We are 1894 want the club to consult supporters over introducing safe standing sections in 314 and 315. Away supporters in the top tier next to those blocks are often seen standing, so introducing rail seats would be a way of making that safer and allowing City fans to do what visiting supporters do.

The move would also improve the atmosphere by amplifying the noise from the most vocal support in the stadium. With hospitality sections in block 216, adding the safe standing seats in 314 and 315 is seen as the best way of improving the existing conditions and builds on what is already there rather than expecting tens of thousands of fans to relocate to the North Stand.
