Guardiola hadn't seen the comments and was left befuddled when asked for his thoughts on them in his pre-match press conference. Eventually, he dryly said: "I will speak with the department and ask what happened. It's okay. If this guy and his girlfriend believe that, it's fine."
In more serious matters, Guardiola said he remains wary of the threat United can pose to his side and won't be thinking any less of them after a difficult start to the season. "They are always dangerous," he continued.
"It doesn't matter the managers - and I have seen a few - they are always a tough opponent with the quality of the individual, the character, the momentum. They have the ability not to be on top and then just score goals. We know their quality, not doubts about that.
