A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man at a Glasgow flat.
Stuart Williams, 50, was found within a property on Glenisla Street, between Birnam Road and Maukinfauld Road in Tollcross, at around 5pm on Sunday, June 25. The discovery was made after police were called to a report of a man seriously injured.
Ambulance crews attended but Stuart was pronounced dead at the scene. Christopher Lynch, 54, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court this afternoon charged with murder.
Lynch, from Glasgow, made no plea and no declaration. He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He is due to appear again before the court within the next eight days. A 51-year-old man who had previously been arrested in connection with the death was later released pending further enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A second man has been arrested in connection with the death of Stuart Williams, 50, in Glasgow. Mr Williams was found seriously injured within a property at Glenisla Street around 5.05pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
"He was pronounced dead at the scene. The 54-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, July 14, 2023. Enquiries remain ongoing.
"Another man, aged 51, was previously arrested in connection with the death and was released pending further enquiries."
