Loose Women has been cancelled and This Morning has been cut short in big TV schedule shake up today, March 6. During hosting duties on This Morning, Craig Doyle announced that the show would be finishing 15 minutes earlier, at 12.15pm, rather than 12.30pm. Craig, 53, said: "The show is slightly shorter today because it's Budget Day.
We are all going to be so much richer at the end of today." His co-presenter Josie Gibson, 39, then said: "I hope so." Due to it being Budget Day, ITV news will overtake the Loose Women slot and will air from 12:15pm to 2pm. Following that, Dickinson's Real Deal will air as normal. Budget Day is when the government presents its budget to a legislature for approval, in a ceremonial fashion.
While the show might be cut short today, This Morning will soon be getting some regular presenters, in the form of Cat Deeley and GMB star Ben Shephard. Ben, 49, was revealed as the new face of This Morning alongside Cat Deeley last month and will be taking over from Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Ben's last appearance on Good Morning Britain was on February 23.
It was an emotionally-charged episode as he tried to keep his composure. After a decade on the show, his final day made his longtime friend and co-host Kate Garraway emotional as well. She said: "It's not even a minute past six, I just realised that's the last time we're here Good Morning Britain with Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.
