Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has shared an injury update about Ibrahima Konate's injury ahead of Sunday's against Manchester City.
Konate hurt himself during Liverpool's big 5-1 win over Sparta Prague in Europe on Thursday night. He had to leave the game early in the second half. But he walked off the pitch by himself, and Klopp thinks taking him out of the game was just to be safe.
Klopp said on Friday afternoon: "Ibou, I don't know. Ibou was rather positive last night, and thought he made the right decision in the right moment (to go off).", reports the Liverpool Echo. "That doesn't mean a lot, unfortunately. He will get scanned definitely and so far I don't have the result of that yet."

Klopp also said Joe Gomez, who left the game at half-time, is okay. Darwin Nunez, who was substituted shortly after Konate, is doing well after his first start following a hamstring problem. Dominik Szoboszlai also continued his return from injury in Prague, while Mohamed Salah made only his second appearance for Liverpool in over two months with a late cameo.
However, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch, Stefan Bajcetic, Diogo Jota and Ben Doak will all be absent for the Anfield match against City. Teenager Jayden Danns also missed the game against Sparta due to concussion protocols.
