It was reported this week that Kym Marsh has called time on her marriage to Army Major Scott Ratcliff just 18 months after tying the knot, allegedly a result of their busy careers. And detailing the realities of what being an 'army wife' entails, the soap actress, 46, said that being busy means "it’s quite easy to forget who you are as a person" while chatting with OK! last year following the couple's honeymoon.
Despite the pair hoping to be in newlywed bliss at the time, she shared that they actually had to postpone any celebrations following their wedding as Scott, 34, had to go away for work just two days after their nuptials. When asked about married life, Kym told us : "It’s been really good.

Scott explained why he had to head away from his new wife, adding: "I do three terms per year at (military academy) Sandhurst and every term I’ll go away for two weeks to run an overseas training exercise.
"We’re both really busy and having children means life takes over sometimes– it’s quite easy to forget who you are as a person – so it was nice to just do what we wanted for a change." Not seeing each other as often as many married couples, Scott is largely based in barracks down south while Kym resides in Cheshire – allegedly making things “impossible” for them. The reported split comes just months after Kym’s Strictly Come Dancing stint – where she was teamed up with Graziano Di Prima. While starring on Strictly, Kym had rehearsals throughout the week followed
