Viewers of The Masked Singer UK have leapt to Alex Brooker's defence as he was revealed as Big Foot during tonight's final.
The comedian and co-host of Channel 4's The Last Leg was announced as the runner up of this year's series, losing out to Piranha, who was revealed to be McFly's Danny Jones.
Viewers were convinced they knew the identity of the man inside the furry beast costume, and their suspicions were confirmed when TV star Alex finally took off his mask. Thanking the audience for their support, he said: "It was the most fun. I love the show, my daughters love the show."

Asked if his children knew he was taking part in the competition, Alex, 39, admitted: "They've got no idea." Addressing his kids, who were presumably watching back home, he said: "Girls, this is where Daddy's been going all the time. This is why Daddy kept singing in the car."
Alex said he wanted his character to be likeable, telling the panellists: "I loved the character, I loved Big Foot, I'm really gonna miss him because as soon as I was asked to do this I was like 'I want to be something cuddly, I want to be something cute that my kids are going to love'."
The comedian, who has a prosthetic leg and whose character Big Foot used a crutch, joked that he wanted to vote for Piranha as he praised winner Danny for his performances in the series.
But while Piranha was seen as a worthy winner by the judges and the viewers at home, Alex faced some criticism for not being the strongest singer among this year's contestants, which also included soul legend Dionne Warwick, Broadway star
