Emmerdale fans are worried about what's to come for Belle Dingle, as her boyfriend Tom King continues to act strangely following his mum's death last month.
The character has been acting rather odd following the off-screen death of his mother, with viewers pointing to his lack of emotion as a cause for concern after he refused to be with his sister following the tragedy. He had also avoided telling Belle of his mum's death, something which left her rather shocked upon discovering the truth.
And in the latest episode of the long-running ITV soap, Tom avoided talking about his mum's funeral, before telling Belle that he didn't want to go. Rather than booking flights to see his sister and attend his mum's funeral, Tom seemed more worried about whether Belle was avoiding him.
His concern over this was sparked by Belle turning down his marriage proposal last week, after which he accidentally pushed her into a table, causing her to hit her head. At the time, Belle said she knew it was an accident and everything was fine, but Tom has remained worried that she might leave him over this.
These worries lead to Tom confessing that he doesn't want to go alone to his mother's funeral, with Belle then offering to go with him.
He seemed to be in disbelief over this, asking her if she was sure before he hugged her and told her that she was "perfect." Viewers watching the moment were not impressed with his behaviour and shared that they were worried about Belle's safety. Some fans were still convinced he may have been involved in the death of his mother and that Belle could be in danger, while others feared an abuse plot was on the cards.
