Emmerdale fans were over the moon when DS Jason Wise, played by Neil Roberts, made a surprise return to the show on Thursday night after three years. He first appeared on the ITV soap in 2016 and was last seen in the village in 2020. DS Wise returned to investigate the murder of Craig Reed, chatting with Kim Tate as Craig's body was found on Home Farm land.

In the latest episode, Sam Dingle confessed that he was the one who ended Craig's life after a fight in an old barn. He even offered to turn himself into the police.
The Dingles were shocked by this and tried to help Sam create a fake story, but Cain looked suspicious, which didn't go unnoticed by his brother Caleb Milligan.
