Emmerdale fans were left asking 'what was that' as they tuned into the first episode of the week. The ITV soap was back on screens following an emotional all-male episode before the weekend.
On Friday night (March 10), some of the Dales' most recognisable male faces came together in The Woolpack for a very different kind of lock-in. Viewers have been left heartbroken over Paddy Kirk's battle with depression which led to him contemplating his own life.
After being found by his best friend Marlon Dingle and brought back home by him and the vet's estranged wife Chas, the family have been doing all they can to support Paddy, particularly Marlon. The lock-in was organised by the chef in the hope of using the night as a forum to talk following Paddy's battle with his own mental health.

As Liam Cavanagh opened up about his own suicide attempt as a medical student, the likes of Cain Dingle, Sam Dingle, and Charles Anderson all sat and listened before Paddy emerged from upstairs and tearfully spoke about his own struggles before finishing with a hug with his best friend.
On Monday night (March 13), Marlon continued to look out for Paddy and wanted to arrange another talking session as they visited Liam's allotment. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the village, Liam's ex-wife Leyla was terrified for her own life and that of her son, Jacob's, after she was threatened by drug dealer Callum for trying to shop him to the police.
