Emmerdale viewers are about to get a blast from the past in upcoming scenes, as agent of chaos Thomas King is reportedly set to return to the Dales to wreck havoc on the village’s residents. First appearing in 2004, Tom left the Dales in 2013 as he planned to runaway and start a new life with his girlfriend Belle Dingle after he was embroiled in a vicious stalking storyline with her aunt, Chas Dingle.
However after a decade away from the Dales, actor James Chase is now taking on the iconic role and will soon see Tom returning to the village in upcoming scenes. Show bosses so far haven’t revealed the motive behind the return, but it’s safe to say it will likely bring plenty of drama for his reunion with former flame Belle, and with his uncle Jimmy - not to mention Chas, who has had far from an easy few months since splitting with her husband Paddy Kirk.
But who exactly is Thomas King? And what’s his connection to the King family? First introduction Introduced to viewers back in 2004 as the son of Carl and Collen King, Tom first made a name for himself following his parents divorce, which saw him and his sister Anya, whisked off to Saudi Arabia to start a new life with their mum. Despite living overseas, the duo kept returning to Emmerdale in order to see their father, and even showed signs of maintaining a strong rapport with him, however in a cruel twist of fate, Carl was murdered - prompting Tom to soon seek justice for his departed dad.

It inspires the audience to reflect on this important issue in modern society. It is an invaluable film replete with empathy.”
