With construction powering ahead on the re-boot of Farnworth town centre the hunt for operators to set up shop there has started. Developers Capital&Centric are searching for businesses that wish to set up or expand to Farnworth Green, the new development set to transform the town’s outdated precinct.
New aerial shots reveal the progress to date at the site and illustrate the scale of change underway in the centre of the town. When completed later this year, the new town centre neighbourhood will contain 97 apartments and family homes, retailers, café-bars and new green outdoor spaces.

Expressions of interest are now open for businesses to move into the various ground floor units. The spaces are from 500 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft and able to accommodate a range of uses. Capital&Centric said they want to create ‘an eclectic but complementary mix of businesses to help boost footfall and create a new chapter for the town centre’.
The site now has concrete frame structures of Farnworth Green in place and work underway on the roof and façade. Tom Wilmot, joint managing director at Capital&Centric, said: “We’re reaching a really exciting point for Farnworth, where you can really see the forms of the buildings taking shape.
“It’s now time that we look to the future, with an open call out to businesses that want to be part of the town centre’s future. “It’s been brilliant working with Bolton Council, who have shared our determination to drive forward transformation in their town centres to create attractive new spaces where people enjoy spending time.
