“Honestly, I had to get up off the settee because I could feel myself nodding off,” he told The Rest Is Football podcast. “I had to stand up before I fell asleep - the game was that bad. But give credit to (Mikel) Arteta because all of his substitutions played a part in the goal.
“The pass, the header, and obviously the header. You want your substitutions to affect the game but I just thought both teams would play out the draw and both be happy with a point. But they got that little bit of luck that Mikel would say they deserved. I thought Manchester City were really poor. I think they had one shot on target and that’s it.”
