In a true blast from the past on Tuesday (May 2nd) Eastenders icon Dean Gaffney returned to the I’m a Celebrity jungle, 17 years after originally appearing on the show back in 2006. The 45 year old star first appeared on the Aussie edition of the show alongside the likes of Busted ’s Matt Willis and Hear’Say singer Myleene Klass, but sadly failed to secure the jungle crown after coming fifth in the competition.
Now, almost two decades later, Dean is once again hoping to compete and secure the crown as he takes part in a special all stars edition of I’m A Celebrity…South Africa, where every contestant is a past participant. Entering the jungle alongside fellow Eastenders star Joe Swash, the pair secretly arrived on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa and were greeted immediately with a Bushtucker trial, described as "one of the most disgusting ever", according to ITV.
