A woman who fell for a man plastering her house only for him to end up grabbing her by the throat and strangling her in a terrifying ordeal months later has told of shock.
Emma Fallows, 39, met Jordan Coulson, 31, and was initially overwhelmed by his affection. The compliments, the pet names and flowers were sent to her home, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The mum-of-three, from Denton, met Coulson through a friend in June 2022, and knowing he was a plasterer, asked him to do some work on her house.
Following the work, they began talking, with Coulson reportedly moving his things into Emma’s home just two days later. The mum claims that she said he could stay for one night – but he never left.
The relationship moved fast and, at first, appeared to be going well. Jordan called Emma his queen, showered her with compliments and gifts.
The mum says she was “sucked into” his charm.
However, by August of 2022, hairdresser Emma claims she started to notice 'red flags' and claims that on one occasion Jordan made her show him her bed on video chat to prove that there was no-one else there.
Emma said: “He was telling me how beautiful I was, sending me flowers and calling me his queen.
“I hadn’t had that for a long time so I was sucked into it.
“But I was already seeing these red flags. I had only been with him for eight weeks.”
Things allegedly came to a head on August 19, 2022 when Jordan demanded she picked him up from the pub.
On the drive home, the mum says Jordan kept grabbing her face to kiss her and taking her attention away from the road.
As they pulled up near her home, Emma waved at a man who lived nearby but claims this sent Jordan into a fit of jealous rage which led to him shouting abuse at her neighbour.
