BreAnna Bell After the historically long dual WGA and SAG-Aftra strikes came to a resolution, ABC announced the return of scripted series with its midseason premiere schedule, revealing premiere dates officially set for new seasons of “Abbott Elementary,” “The Conners” and “9-1-1” among other popular titles. “Abbott Elementary” is scheduled to make its Season 3 premiere with an hour-long special debut episode on Feb. 7.
The telecast will be preceded by new episodes of “The Conners” and “Not Dead Yet.” The unscripted courtroom comedy, “Judge Steve Harvey” rounds out the Wednesday night lineup. Procedural dramas “Will Trent,” “The Rookie” and “The Good Doctor” return for new seasons on Feb. 20.
“9-1-1” will officially make its ABC debut on March 14 after being canceled by Fox in May. The premiere will be followed by new episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Station 19.” “The Bachelor” kicks off the slate of premieres with a new season on Jan. 22 as viewers will follow Joey Graziadei on his journey to find love.
The episode will be followed by ABC’s new true-crime series, “20/20.” The limited series will consist of eight episodes and promises to explore “some of the most shocking love crimes of all time,” per ABC. The previously announced series pickup “High Potential,” which was previously scheduled to join ABC’s lineup for the 2023-2024 season, will now debut during the 2024-2025 broadcast season. Additional programming will be announced in the coming weeks.

Valerie Wu Intern Paramount+ original series “Sexy Beast” has announced a premiere date of Jan. 25, 2024 and released first-look photos. The eight-episode UK series serves as a prequel to the 2000 crime thriller film “Sexy Beast.” It traces the relationship between best friends and thieves Gal Dove (James McArdle) and Don Logan (Emun Elliott), who together become involved in London’s criminal world during the 1990s.
Paramount+ has slotted Thursday, February 8, 2024 for the Season 2 premiere of Halo, based on the widely popular and long-running Xbox game franchise. Élodie Yung starrer “The Cleaning Lady” (now in Season 3) and the sophomore season of police procedural “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” officially return on Tuesday, March 5.
