Gemma Atkinson has said that ‘space’ from her fiancé Gorka Marquez is ‘perfect’ as she addressed rumours of a 'rough patch' in their relationship. Former Hollyoaks star Gemma appeared on ITV's Lorraine on Wednesday, 7 February, as she promoted her new children's book, Dogs Don't Dance. During her chat with Lorraine Kelly, Gemma opened up on her romance with Strictly pro Gorka, who she has been with since 2018, after they met on Strictly in 2017.

"So he's home during the week but on the weekends, I get my space, I get my time with the kids, he gets to go and do what he loves - it's perfect!" Gemma went on to say: "We read that we were having a 'rough patch'," as she admitted she laughed at the news. She revealed that her aunt had messaged her asking if "everything is okay" with Gorka. Gemma then conceded: "I get how people would think it's strange that we're apart a lot, but that's how it's always been
