Ferne McCann looked incredible as she joined the likes of Faye Winter and Amy Dowden at the Pride of Britain Awards on Sunday 8 October. The former The Only Way Is Essex star, who gave birth to her daughter Finty back in July, was joined by her fiancé Lorri Haines as they enjoyed a child-free evening at the event in London. For the occasion, mum-of-two Ferne kept things classic yet stylish as she opted for a chic strapless black gown which featured a low cut corset bodice and a sheer mesh skirt that trailed along the red carpet.
To finish off the look, 33 year old Ferne wore a pair of silver statement earrings and stuck to a neutral toned smokey eye and nude lip.
Lorri meanwhile matched the TV personality as he wore an all-black suit which he paired with some smart black shoes. Speaking to OK! as they walked the red carpet, Ferne joked: “It’s our first date night. If you’re going to have a date night, make it the Pride of Britain Awards.” Meanwhile, Lorri added: “It’s our first date night since Finty was born.” With Ferne already being a mum to five year old Sunday, she has previously admitted that she was worried about how they’d adjust to being a family of four.
Luckily, Sunday is thriving in her big sister role – she even gave her approval for the name, despite originally wanting “Marshmallow” for a girl and “Stinks” for a boy! “I was so worried about how Sunday would react to a sibling. It was just me and Sunday for such a long time. I didn’t want her to feel left out.
Everyone was telling me to get Sunday a present from the baby. But she’s been so accepting of Finty,” she told OK!. And after years of being a single mother to Sunday, the TV star has said that sharing parenthood with Lorri is particularly special.
