A family with two young children were attacked with weapons as they sat inside their car in Stockport on Friday evening (November 24).
Detectives are investigating the 'targeted' assault that took place on Blandford Road at around 9pm. It involved a family of four, including two young children, that were approached by two suspects who then used weapons to damage the vehicle.
The pair, thought to be males, then fled the scene in a dark coloured car towards Green Lane. Enquiries have so far suggested the offenders in their vehicle were parked up on Blandford Road between 4.30pm and 7.15pm before returning to the scene when the attack took place.

No life-threatening injuries were sustained in the attack and no arrests have been made. Police are urging any witnesses or anyone with any dashcam or doorbell footage to come forward.
Detective Constable Lauren Snook of GMP’s Stockport CID said: “We have spent all weekend investigating a number of lines of enquiry to identify those responsible for committing a reckless act which could have had far more serious consequences.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or doorbell footage in the moments leading up to, during or after the attack around Norris Hill Drive or Blandford Road.
“Our enquiries suggest the offenders in their vehicle were parked on Blandford Road from around 4:30-7:15pm, before returning at around 9pm. This means we believe people might have dashcam footage when on their journeys that could assist with our investigation.
