Erik ten Hag insists it would be an overachievement if Manchester United won the FA Cup final this season.
United have recorded 60 confirmed cases of injury or illness that have caused a player to miss a game this season and they could be without 12 players for the Premier League visit of Sheffield United on Wednesday night.
Since Ten Hag was appointed United manager two years ago, the club have spent more than £400million on signings yet United are seventh in the league table - 16 points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa.

The manner in which United progressed to the FA Cup final overshadowed Ten Hag's feat of becoming the fourth United manager to guide them to successive finals in the competition. Despite the widespread criticism from supporters and reporters, Ten Hag has attempted to portray the semi-final success in a flattering light.

An FA Cup triumph is unlikely to reprieve Ten Hag as United could suffer their worst season in the Premier League era if they lose for a 13th time from their six remaining fixtures.
