Former Emmerdale star Charley Webb has shared a sneak preview of her next big career move - and fans said they "can't wait". The actress played Debbie Dingle on the soap for 19 years, but quit not long after the birth of her third child.
Bury-born Charley has since announced she'll be making her stage debut later this year in the national tour of James Graham’s smash hit play Quiz. And on Tuesday (August 8) she shared a series of photos on Instagram from her next TV project.
The 35-year-old is among the star-studded cast of ITV true crime drama, The Long Shadow, coming to ITV1 and ITVX next month. It is billed as the "definitive depiction of the desperate five-year hunt for serial killer Peter Sutcliffe", with a focus on the lives of the victims who crossed his path and those of the officers at the heart of the police investigation.

Charley said: "The Long Shadow. Coming to ITV in September. The team that dreams are made of."

Charley Webb will play PC Anna Lawson in six episode of the seven part series, according to IMDB.
