Emmerdale's Paddy Kirk left viewers in tears during Thursday's heartbreaking hour-long episode of the ITV soap as the village vet contemplated suicide. Paddy Kirk, played by actor Dominic Brunt, 52, has been facing a battle with his mental health recently. It comes after his wife, Chas, had an affair with Al Chapman, who was murdered after the adultery came to light.
Paddy's family and friends hope that he's settling back into his everyday life after spending several weeks away. However, as Paddy reconnects with each of them in turn, they're unaware that he's saying his last goodbyes. It's only when Paddy disappears again and his father Bear finds a worrying note that everyone realises he's planning to take his own life. The villagers immediately rush into action, hoping to find him before it's too late.
And fans are convinced Aaron Dingle, played by Danny Miller, might return to the soap to help Paddy with his ongoing battle with his mental health. Aaron always saw Paddy as a father figure when he was married to his mum Chas, and fans believe could be returning to the Yorkshire Dales when he learns about Paddy's suicide plan. One person said on Twitter: "@DannyBMiller, please come back to the village! It's breaking my heart seeing Paddy going through this alone.
Paddy helped Aaron - now it's time Aaron helps Paddy #Emmerdale." Another wrote: "I keep saying this but if Aaron doesn't have some kind of involvement/mention in Paddy's storyline then the writers have missed a very important (and obvious) mark. #emmerdale." A third person added: "Paddy!! Think of Aaron. You think he is happy in a foreign land.
