EastEnders viewers are convinced they've worked out the twist in tonight's episode (February 20) as they're divided over the decision to not give viewer the options of watching the episode early to avoid spoilers. There has been much speculation about what could happen on Monday's much-anticipated episode. In order to keep the plot as secretive as possible, the BBC decided not to give viewers the option to watch the episode on iPlayer before it goes live tonight, which has left some fans annoyed.
However, it has also made them wonder what might happen in the episode that would lead the BBC to be so secretive about it. Soap fans now believe that they have figured out what twist could be in store, following a cryptic tweet from the show teasing the new episode. The tweet in question read: "In a flash, everything changes".
Fans were quick to express their thoughts and theories on the social media platform following the cryptic tweet. On person wrote: "Nish’s murder flash forward bring it on." Another added: "A "flash forward" to events later in the year? Hasn't that already been done with #Hollyoaks?" A third was more dubious about the theory, they wrote: "Flash forward? What do you mean? Are they going to go in the future? Strange choice to make." Fans have been left divided as the mysterious episode has not been shared on BBC iPlayer at 6am this morning as episodes usually are.
Instead the nail-biting wait for the twist to be revealed will have to wait until the episode is aired live at 7.30pm. Some viewers have been left disappointed by the shake up to their usual schedule, with one writing: "I hope it’s only for this episode! I love watching EastEnders in the morning at the gym before uni.
