There wasn’t a dry eye in the house following Monday night’s episode of EastEnders, as Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson bid a final farewell to their baby girl, following last week’s termination. In recent weeks, viewers at home have watched the couple struggle with a tragic diagnosis of Edwards' Syndrome, a devastating disease which would severely impact on the baby’s ability to survive beyond the womb. Rather than allowing their child to suffer a short life, the couple made the heartbreaking and difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy last week, with Whitney giving birth to the stillborn little girl after a medically induced labour.

However in a devastating twist, it was revealed that as the baby had been born so early, it wasn’t officially classed as a birth and the couple couldn’t be provided with a birth certificate. "If there's any paperwork, birth cert.
