EastEnders fans have praised George Knight for slapping Dean Wicks in "satisfying" scenes which aired on Monday, 20 November. George arrived upstairs at the Queen Vic with Cindy Beale to find Dean intimidating Linda Carter once again and quickly intervened. A visibly shaken Linda watched on as George told Dean to get out of the pub, but he continued to argue back.
Furious at Dean's words, George slapped him and he fell backwards, tumbling down the stairs.
The episode's closing scenes saw Cindy, Linda and George look on in horror as Dean lay unconscious at the bottom of the stairs. Viewers were pleased to see George defend Linda, with many praising the pub landlord for slapping Dean, branding it "satisfying". "George slapped Dean into next week #EastEnders," one person joked, as a second said: "YESSS!! FINALLY!! I've been waiting for that to happen since Dean came back #EastEnders".
"George absolutely slapping the f*** out of Dean was so satisfying. Do it again #EastEnders," a third said. A fourth EastEnders fan added: "George did what we've all wanted to see since what he did to linda #EastEnders." Dean's fate remains to be seen, but spoilers have revealed Cindy calls an ambulance and Dean is then taken to hospital.
Cindy considers covering for George, much to Ian's annoyance and he attempts to talk her out of it. However, when Linda discovers George is on a suspended sentence, she takes matters into her own hands in order to protect him. When Elaine tells Linda she’s determined to do anything to keep George out of prison, Linda has a decision to make.
