Earlier this year a flash-forward saw Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) discover a dead male body in the Queen Vic.

With the nail-biting conclusion of EastEnders’ Christmas whodunnit storyline now just over a week away, eagle eyed fans are eagerly clutching at the crumbs of clues that may give an indication of which star will meet his maker, and who will deal the killing blow. So far, multiple theories have continued to swirl among fans - but after Thursday’s episode, more and more viewers are convinced that Jack Branning could be the mysterious victim to die, with multiple suspects in the frame to lay claim to his life.

EastEnders fans have spotted a subtle nod towards Kathy Cotton’s role in The Six this Christmas as she decorated her house for the festive period. Kathy is one of six women involved in the huge Christmas Day murder alongside Linda Carter, Suki Panesar, Sharon Watts, Denise Fox and Stacey Slater.

Having finally plucked up the courage to leave Albert Square, Suki finally appeared to be able to take the crucial step towards her happiness, only for Nish to discover the affair after catching Eve and Suki kissing on CCTV.

Tuesday's EastEnders had a rather dramatic end when Nish Panesar finally discovered his wife's infidelity while watching the CCTV cameras installed in their shop. Longtime viewers of the soap will know that Nish's wife Suki has had an on-again-off-again romance with Eve Unwin, which the pair had recently rekindled, planning to flee Walford together.

EastEnders fans were in for a treat as two beloved characters, Chatham and Riley Taylor, made a surprise return to Walford after being away for three years. The young brothers, who are the sons of Karen Taylor (played by Lorraine Stanley) and half-brothers to Keanu Taylor (portrayed by Danny Walters), had been sent to live with their dad during lockdown in 2020.The boys, both living with Neurofibromatosis, hadn't been seen since then but returned to celebrate their mum's birthday. In Monday's episode, Mitch Baker (played by Roger Griffiths) threw a surprise birthday party for Karen at The Queen Vic, inviting all their family, including his daughter Bailey Baker (Kara-Leah Fernandes), and grandchildren Mackenzie (Isaac Lemonius) and Mia Atkins (Mahalia Malcolm).

EastEnders viewers have been left less than impressed with a recent storyline on the soap, that saw Stacey Slater meet up with her stalker and attempted rapist Theo Hawthorne. Theo is set to face trial over his attack on Stacey, but Monday's episode saw the pair meet up ahead of the court date, with Stacey asking him to leave her alone.

Strictly Come Dancing fans were reduced to tears following Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu's exit from the BBC One show on Sunday, 26 November.TV presenter Angela, 39, and Strictly pro Carlos, 30, faced Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin the dance-off after the results of the public vote were revealed. Judges Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke opted to save Layton and Nikita, meaning Angela and Carlos were sadly eliminated from the competition. The pair's exit proved to be hugely emotional, with fans spotting Carlos breaking down in tears as he and Angela took to the dance floor one final time.
