EastEnders newcomers Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry have proved they are just as close off-screen as they are on after they were spotted shopping together in North London during a day off. Molly and Francesca came into the show last month as Anna and Gina Knight along with their dad George. They moved to Walford from Marbella to join George’s girlfriend and Linda Carter’s mum, Elaine Peacock, in running The Queen Vic.
On joining the show, executive producer Chris Clenshaw explained the Knights have been "bound together for years" and moving to Albert Square creates "the fresh-start the Knights are looking for". Molly announced her arrival with an Instagram post with the caption: “So excited for life in Walford with my new family “The Knights” & Can’t wait for you guys to meet Anna!” And it looks like Molly and her on-screen sister Francesca have grown close since being cast, with the pair looking like they were having a lovely day shopping as they took a break from filming.
Molly opted for some relaxed tie-dye joggers while Francesca went for a monochrome look as they made their way down the street, chatting away. Prior to joining the show, Molly shot to stardom after coming runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing with Carlos Gu last year.
Before that, Molly was a regular presenter for CBBC on Friday Download in 2014. In 2019, she switched to acting for CBBC, landing a part in Millie Inbetween before joining the series Nova Jones as the title character.
Her on-screen sister, Francesca Henry appeared in Doctors, The Chelsea Detective and Silent Witness before bagging the role as Gina. The Knights have always had a cloud hanging over them because of their missing mother ‘Rose Knight’. But what the audience learned is that
