David O. Russell’s Latest Film Titled ‘Amsterdam,’ Reveals First Look at Taylor Swift and Christian Bale

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn stars in BBC and Hulu series Conversations with Friends which begins tonight at 10pm.The plot is based on Sally Rooney’s novel of the same name about two students whose lives become intimately entangled with a married couple. Joe, 31, plays the role of Nick Conway, a married actor who gets caught in a web of infidelity. But while Joe’s character’s life will be wrung out on screen for all to see, his relationship with Taylor, 32, is low-key and fans are often left in the dark.

HBO’s Original two-part documentary “George Carlin’s American Dream” will debut later this month.Directed by Judd Apatow (“The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling”) and Michael Bonfiglio (“May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers”), the doc will air on HBO on back-to-back nights, with Part 1 premiering on Friday, May 20 at 8:00-9:55 p.m. ET/PT, followed by on Saturday, May 21, at the same time.Both episodes will be available to stream on HBO Max beginning Friday, May 20.

Taylor Swift will appear at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival next month to discuss and screen her All Too Well short film.Last year, the pop star released the 15-minute film to accompany the release of ‘All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)’, which featured on the re-recorded version of her 2012 album ‘Red’.Tribeca Film Festival will host a special screening of All Too Well: The Short Film, which was directed, written and produced by Swift. After the screening, an “in conversation” event will be held where she will discuss her approach to filmmaking.The event will take place at New York’s Beacon Theater on June 11 and is one of a handful of music-related features at this year’s festival.Elsewhere, Pharrell will discuss his career at the Borough of Manhattan Community College on June 10, while Common will take part in a conversation with journalist Charles Blow.

The 2022 Met Gala theme has gotten some mixed reactions. The much-anticipated Met Gala is back on the first Monday in May this year following a brief hiatus due to the coronavirus. Guests attending part two of September's event have been told the theme is "Gilded Glamour and White Tie." As usual, the sartorial theme comes from the exhibit the gala launches — "In America: An Anthology of Fashion," which is the second of star curator Andrew Bolton’s two-part show exploring the roots of American style.

Amsterdam, featuring Taylor Swift was aired at CinemaCon in Las Vegas yesterday (April 27).The film which stars John David Washington, Margot Robbie and Christian Bale, is a period piece which has been described as an “original romantic crime epic,” according to Disney executive Tony Chambers via Variety.It is apparently set in the 1930s, where the leading trio of Bale, Robbie and Washington “find themselves at the centre of one of the most secret plots in American history.”The film also stars Zoe Saldana, Michael Shannon, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Rock.Swift surfaces in the trailer as a mourning daughter, breaking down in tears before her father’s body as Rock and Bale look on.“You have a dead white man in the box. It’s not even a coffin, it doesn’t even have a top on,” Rock tells Bale in the clip.

Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo will reprise their roles from Paramount Network’s 2018 limited series “Waco” in “American Tragedies: Waco – The Trials,” MTV Entertainment Studios announced Monday. The follow-up series will explore the legal fallout after the tragic events that took place in Waco, Texas, in 1993.Waco was the longest gun battle in U.S.

Mad Max: Fury Road.According to costume designer Jenny Beavan, who is set to work on the upcoming prequel, Taylor-Joy “wants to” shave her head for the role just like Charlize Theron’s portrayal of the character in the 2015 film.Speaking to Variety, Beavan said: “She wants to, but George doesn’t want her to. So I don’t know whether she will or not.”Taylor-Joy will star alongside Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke in the prequel, currently scheduled to be released 24 May, 2024.Speaking about being cast in the prequel on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in 2020, Taylor-Joy praised Theron’s performance in Mad Max: Fury Road.“I fell in love with Furiosa, the way that Charlize presented her,” Taylor-Joy said.
